WAITING AND WAITING

Not much to report - but I thought I'd give a brief update! After one month on the list (early July) the list had not moved at all! Last week, I was really beginning to struggle with the wait. Being #19, I wondered if it would be years until we would get a referral. I even started to wonder if we should switch agencies or countries. I shared this with a few people and one encouraging person suggested I "lay it aside" for a week and see how I felt after that. During that week I found out there have been 3 new referrals!! Now we are still #16, but seeing movement on the list is a huge encouragment! I have a feeling that there may be some things that God is looking to build into my character during this time. My tendency is to want to just "wriggle out of it" and find an easier path. So I will try to look at this as a season of growth, and I have constant reminders from others that have gone before us, that the joy of having our daughter will far exceed the pain in the waiting!
